The cotton in your shirt has been 'Mercerised' - and that's a good thing because you'll feel how it gives your shirt a rich and silky finish. And you'll see how it allows the cloth to absorb more dye, thus making the colours richer, brighter and deeper. And don’t worry that you may lose this in the wash. The 'Mercerised' cotton actually offers greater resistance to multiple washes, keeping the colours bright, sharp and unchanging over time. In fact, your floral is a hardy perennial that will bloom for years.
Your Irvine Shirt is a classic cut. Not too slim and not too baggy, it is darted at the back to give you a flatter front - but with room for you to breath, and sit down without it gaping.
You can always dry clean your shirt if you want. But, that can be expensive, so turn your shirt inside out and pop it in the wash at 30 degrees centigrade. Please don't use the tumble dryer or leave your shirt in direct sunlight. To press it, turn your shirt inside out and use a warm iron.
